Q1 2024 US Performance of Top Hack and Slash Apps on Unified Platform

Sensor Tower's latest data provides us with a fascinating snapshot of the hack and slash genre's performance in the United States during the first quarter of 2024. The top five applications in this category have shown varying trends in terms of downloads, revenue, and weekly active users.

Starting with Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat, published by YunChang Games, we see a strong start post-release with downloads initially hitting 295K. However, there's a noticeable tapering with downloads dropping to 11K by the end of the quarter. Weekly active users also saw a decline from 286K to 102K, matching the trend in downloads.

Marvel Future Fight by Netmarble Corporation, on the other hand, displayed a mixed pattern in revenue, peaking at $233K in the final week of the quarter. Downloads saw an exceptional spike in the fifth week, reaching 88K, followed by a return to the range of 3-4K weekly. Weekly active users reached a high of 155K during the same spike, ending the quarter at 99K.

Newcomer Hades - NETFLIX from Netflix, Inc. shows promising engagement with active users increasing slightly from 68K to 73K in its debut weeks, although downloads saw a decrease from 73K to 29K.

miHoYo Limited's Honkai Impact 3rd experienced fluctuations in revenue, with a notable peak of $243K in the ninth week. Downloads remained relatively consistent, hovering around the 5-6K mark weekly, and weekly active users exhibited a slight decrease from 76K to 65K over the quarter.

Lastly, Otherworld Legends from ChillyRoom showed modest revenue figures, ending the quarter at $2.3K. Downloads peaked at 5.6K in the fifth week, while active users presented a small growth from 5K to 6.2K.
